Thursday Purseday OR Tuesday Shoesday, you pick!

So I know that title doesn’t make any sense, but that’s my ploy here. It’ll make you WANT to read! Or you’ll just go “Claire’s actually gone off the reservation this time.” Which, is probably more accurate. But, either way, I have something REAL real real pretty to show you, courtesy of….PINTEREST. (Duh, is there ever any other way to find pretties this day in age?)

The joy of pinterest (done right) is that most of the pins lead you back to their source, and I’m SO happy this particular one did because it led me to my new favorite fashion blog, Gal Meets Glam. The blogger, Julia, has the BEST sense of style. In addition, most of her finds are very affordable, so normal people like you and me can mock her outfits! She’s also a real person which makes it easier to read and relate to!

Now, before I show you, I must warn you. You aren’t going to know where to look. The shoes are killer, the purse is INCREDIBLE and the dress is perfectly chic. I’m just, in awe of everything that’s happening. Hence, this post could either be a “tuesday shoesday” or a “thursday purseday”. Take your pick 🙂

Photos are courtesy of Gal Meets Glam.

Um, incredible right? Those shoes are amazing!! But, for the sake of it being Thursday Purseday, let’s take a closer look at the bag.

Absolutely perfect. The sparkle makes it perfect for special occasions and the color makes it oh-so versatile. Swoon.

Now, I’ll ask, what do you think of this ensemble?

Wedding Attire: A How-To

The last thing you want is to look back on your happiest moments in photographs and have them ruined by one of your guests wearing something inappropriate and tacky!

As much as I love weddings, I have not been to all that many in my 24 years [I can count them on my hand]. Although I’m new to the role of a guest, I’m not new to the rule of a polite party goer. I’ve been to my fair share of soirees where guests have shown up in some…lack of better words… embarrassing outfits that leave me cringing and muttering to my friend “did they NOT read the RSVP? Since when does formal attire mean club/street wear?” You would think that since a wedding is often a more formal affair, more thought goes into the outfit choice. However, that’s not always the case. And as a bride to be [with slight, very slight OCD tendencies] the thought of a guest wearing a too-tight-too-short mini dress or…GASP…a white frock brings me to my knees. So after doing a lot of research, I’ve created this easy how-to on wedding guest attire.

Bling Bling!!

As some of you already know, I found my wedding dress this weekend!! AHH! Big news, big steps. I’m so excited. It’s absolutely gorgeous and done by my favorite wedding designer. Unfortunately, I can not share what it is [right now], but let me just tell you, it’s freaking perfect!

Besides being the perfect dress for me, another thing I love about my gown is the neckline [modified sweetheart] and the fact that it’s not overtly dramatic or flashy. Which means….STATEMENT NECKLACE! I’m a statement jewelry kind of girl. If it’s big, flashy and kind of costume-y, chances are, I own it or am oogling it. There’s something so “me” about a statement piece.  Of course I started looking for necklaces last night, in my euphoric “I FOUND IT” haze, and thought I must share my finds.  If you have a statement piece or wore one for your wedding, share with me!
