Real Wedding: Daniel and Amanda

It’s WEDNESDAY! Weee! The sun is shining and the temperature is PERFECT! Plus, it’s only 2 days until the weekend and I’m happily staying put!  But those aren’t the only reasons for my excitement. I have the rest of the gawgggeous June Canadian wedding I teased you with on Monday! In addition to more beautiful photos, I have their adorable story to share, as told by the bride! All photos are courtesy of Ella Photography.

Danny and I have been together for 9 years, but I’ve known him for 20. Candice and I have been best friends forever so we all grew up together. I knew him completely before we started dating so it was a very easy transition for us anyways. I went from being Candice’s best friend to dating her brother!!! You can see how that may have been a bit weird in the beginning, but everyone came around pretty fast. They wanted the best for both of us si why not have us be happy together! Continue reading

Tuesday Shoesday: Poppy Pumps

What is more summer than pink poppy pumps? (Try saying that 3 times fast). These shoes would instantly brighten your wardrobe, not to mention your mood! Plus, they are less than $80 at DSW. These would compliment a short, fluffy white dress and a pink and white bouquet perfectly. If you aren’t a fan of pink, they come in blue, yellow, black and white!

Tuesday Shoesday: Kiwi Sandals

I owe my fabulous office mate L credit for sending me these shoes for today’s post. With how busy yesterday was, I barely had enough time to eat lunch, so I owe her big for finding some sassy footwear to feature! As you all know, the past few days have been hard, emotionally, so I’ve been feeling pretty glum. So L, knowing me well enough, sent me these bright and cheery pumps as a way to cheer me up. And boy, did they! The bright pink color and the soft petals on the top instantly boosted my spirit, not to mention the economy (I just had to buy them).  I’m pretty sure you couldn’t be sad if you wore these fabulous Badgley Mischkas! Oh and even better, they are named Kiwi. What is more quintessential summer than kiwi fruit?

Snazzy little numbers, aren’t they? I should feel some guilt for impulse buying them, but I know I’ll wear them. I mean, I have 4 more weddings to attend this year, I’m sure these will get use 🙂

Tuesday Shoesday: A Dashing Little Bootie

I came across this stunning mesh bootie in my November edition of Brides magazine. This gorgeous shoe immediately got my attention and was the one thing I kept flipping back to stare at. What I love, especially, about this boot is the lacey look of the body, with florals and mesh, and then the big satin bow on the top. Not to mention, it comes in pink and black and is a peep-toe, so it’s perfect with tights for a winter holiday soiree OR gorgeous without for a spring wedding! If you are in the market for a serious statement pair of footwear, look no further than these Badgley Mischka masterpieces. And at only $200, they won’t set you back an arm and a leg! [Just an arm, but that’s why you have two of them!] They can be found at Nordstrom.

Black Olaf Bootie

Which color is your favorite? I’m dying for the black ones. Those would be killer with some simple black tights and a sequin shift for New Years!
