Happy Wednesday friends! I’m in much better spirits today, thankfully! Thank you all, again, for your love and support! Now, onto the fun stuff 🙂
I have this beautiful e-sesh to show you from a place near and dear to me, Indiana! Plus, the photographer is an old friend from high school who is INCREDIBLY talented. There is something so enchanting about her portraits. I’m completely smitten. Plus, these few sneak peeks I’m about to show you are from one of her first engagement sessions! Looking at the photos, I’d say she’d been doing this for years! Thanks again for sharing these with me, Ashley!
The couple, Ashley and Scott, are getting married next June and wanted a comfortable, low-key engagement session. Due to weather, they had a few different takes. I love the cornfield backdrop, it’s so unique and provides such a haunting element to the photos. Can’t wait to share the rest with you later this week!
Happy Tuesday! Hope ya’ll are having a good day (or at least a better day than yesterday because we all know Monday’s suck). As I promised, I’m here to show you the rest of the incredible Alice in Wonderland themed love shoot by ENMUSE photography.
I love, love, LOVE when couples think outside of the box when planning their photo shoots. As a lover of all things weddings, I see the same old ideas played out, over and over. Your session is a way to show your family, your friends and the world what kind of couple you are. This is the time you can really let loose and have fun in front of the camera, really let your personalities shine. Pre-wedding shoots have completely evolved from what they used to be, couples are now using props, costumes & themes in their shoots to tell their story & showcase who they are as a couple. This is one of the reason’s I’m completely lusting over this Alice in Wonderland themed shoot and the creative couple behind it, Meri & Iwan. I’ll let Avina from ENMUSE share the details on the couple & the shoot!
Meri and Iwan wanted to tap into their playful sides for this shoot. When they asked for an “Alice in Wonderland”inspired session, we couldn’t be more excited! “Wonderland” has always been such an intriguing idea: a place where magic happens and wildest imaginations come true.
I think ya’ll are going to love this one. This engagement session is filled with such incredible love, you will feel goosebumps looking at these photos and I guarantee your heart will flutter. Thank you Anni for this amazing shoot and for guest posting for me!
Olamide was one of the very first people to contact me about an engagement session. She and her fiance, Bola, have a zest for photography, and wanted photos that captured their love of the city and each other to send back to family in Africa who won’t be able to make it to their wedding here in the States. We decided to shoot in Lincoln Park, a lovely little part of the city that seems secluded and in the middle of everything all at once. Even though we were rained out on our first attempt at a session, these two rolled with the punches and headed into our sunrise session with lots of laughter and dancing. Their love for each other was apparent from the moment I sat down with them, and I think it really shines through here.
One of my very favorite things about capturing couples together is that they rarely need to be posed. It’s such a treat to see the way they interact together, and the emotion that comes through in the laughter.
