Happy Monday! I’ve decided to kick off each week with a lovely wedding recap! Hope ya’ll had a great weekend!
Jumping right in where we left off, my hair was perfectly coiled and my make-up flawlessly applied so it was time to put on my short little “reception” dress for the beach bridal shoot! Since I already recapped the professional photos, I’m going to feature the funny, backstage photos that my best friend Emily took. [Every photo featured on this post was taken by Emily!] As soon as Richard arrived, Emily, Liz, Melanie and I trekked to Sullivan’s Island to snap some pictures. The weather was absolutely perfect with a lovely ocean breeze. When we first arrived, Richard had me hide in a bush so he could get some gorgeous pictures with the leaves around me.
Emily and Liz were singing “I’m a survivor!” by Destiny’s Child, hence the laughing.
After Richard switched to the digital, he gave Liz his amazing film camera…
…who was told it was his “baby”, so she proceeded to rock and coo it.
So, I’m a little late on these recaps, aye? In my defense, I’ve been busy! But lately, I can’t put them off anymore because I’ve been experiencing some MAJOR wedding withdrawals. I was at my good friend Heidi’s wedding this past weekend and it really made me miss our incredibly amazing day. So, instead of moping around and staring incessantly at my photos, I’m going to be proactive and actually do these recaps! Now, I could recap the whole year leading up to my wedding, but I’m pretty sure that would bore ya’ll to tears and cause you to never want to read my blog again. So instead, I’m going to begin at the most important time, 2 days before!
I can’t believe it’s been 2 months since my wedding day. I know I said this a month ago at our one month, but I honestly still can’t believe how quickly time has flown. While I was planning, it felt like the day would never come, and now, I’m gripping onto memories with a strong latch afraid to let go, silently wishing I had a time machine to go back to that day. There are so many amazing things I want to feel again, a few things I’d do differently and a few people I wish I spent more time with. But that’s life, right? We always wish we did things a tad differently than we did. But even now, as I’ve had time to thoroughly deconstruct my wedding, I still look back with nothing but utter amazement. It was still perfect. Still ultimately one of the best days of my life. All in all, I think that’s pretty great 🙂

Although it’s gone by fast, these 2 months have also been absolutely amazing, which is solely because I have an amazing husband. So, happy 2 months E. You make my life better, just by being in it. I love you!
Okay, so that headline is a bit extreme, but it sums up what I’m going to be posting about today. I first must preface this by saying I LOVE being married. I especially love being married to E. He’s an amazing man and I couldn’t spend my life with anyone else (or anyone else could put up with me!) So far, married life is fun. I’m still not used to saying “husband” but when I do say it, I get that butterfly giddy feeling in my stomach. I think the first time I hear him say “wife” I’ll cry. To lighten up this post, I’m going to insert my favorite photos of us from the honeymoon 🙂
Friends! Fans! Loves! I’m back! Did you miss me terribly? Before I begin with a *few* teaser photographs of my fairytale wedding, I want to thank a few people first. Jacin, Annie, Naomi, Kristi, Angela, Erin and Sofia, thank you for your amazing guest posts while I was out! You girls are amazing and I’m SO thankful for you! I also want to really thank all of you who helped put on my ADORABLE virtual bridal shower. You all know me so well and are truly amazing friends. I can’t wait to try out these recipes! Thank you!
Now onto the stuff you really want to see, some amazing photos from the wedding! These aren’t our professional photos, but they are equally as amazing. I have some really talented photographers in the family! I honestly can’t stop thinking back on the day and smiling. Everything was perfect. Literally, perfect. There was NOTHING I would have changed. The decor was exactly what I wanted, the weather was amazing, the cake was beautiful, the food was delicious, the music was on key, the photographer was hilarious and EVERYONE had fun. It was a fairy tale and I’m just so blessed to have had such an unforgettable day. Okay, enough blab, here are some photos!
Make-up trial on Wednesday!
I am so excited to bring you some photos from my amazing bachelorette weekend in Las Vegas! Sin city is one of my favorite places to visit for a few reasons. For one, it houses the most amazing clubs ever. I’m talking multi-levels with moon roofs and balconies overlooking the Strip. Secondly, they have gambling machines in almost every building. Supermarkets not excluded. Third, you can drink ANYWHERE in the city. I’m talking anywhere. And they sell frozen liquor in 55 ounce guitars. (See photo below).
In 10 words or less, it was one of the best weekends ever. I have, hands down, some of the best friends and family a gal could ever ask for. I am so thankful to the girls who came and celebrated, it was certainly a weekend to remember 🙂 So without further ado, some photographs of the epic party. Photos brought to you by my lovely bridesmaids Emily and Liz and my cousin Caitlin.
