I died and went to happy vintage heaven this morning as I was gleefully pinning around on Pinterest. Sometimes, I see things that, pretty much, send me into cardiac arrest. Sometimes, I just, can’t control my reactions. I scream, I clap, I gasp, I giggle. I’m fairly confident my work colleagues think I’m a total nutter. But, I digress (as usual). I found something, a manifestation of everything I want in one outfit today and I just, HAVE TO SHARE.
This has EVERYTHING I currently covet. The color mustard? Check. Ruffly, lacey top? Check. Nude nails? Check. An adorable short sleeve belted trench? Check. AH. I wish there was a way I could see the whole outfit. I’d probably just, die. But what really drew me to this picture was the bag. The dark, deep, mustard color, the size and the gorgeous leather make this the IT fall clutch. I need it. Someone, find it for me. I’ll make you muffins or something.
Sometimes, a girl just can’t decide on what she wants to wear. I mean, it’s a rare occurrence, of course, but it does happen. On days like that, where you can’t quite figure out the perfect outfit to wear, you need to have some interchangeable options for your handbags and accessories. Are you going for an understated modest look but with a killer, sparkled bag? Or a sassy mini dress with a simple blow clutch? Or dress up your jeans with a fabulous leopard print hobo. The options are endless, so why not play around? That’s the thing I love about fashion, you could wear the same outfit day in and day out, and with a different accessory every day, no one would have a clue!

And of course, with all your options and many choices, you clearly need a fabulous closet to hold them all, right?
That closet is a DREAM, right? When I die, I’d like to wake up in there please. With a mimosa, obviously.
So I know that title doesn’t make any sense, but that’s my ploy here. It’ll make you WANT to read! Or you’ll just go “Claire’s actually gone off the reservation this time.” Which, is probably more accurate. But, either way, I have something REAL real real pretty to show you, courtesy of….PINTEREST. (Duh, is there ever any other way to find pretties this day in age?)
The joy of pinterest (done right) is that most of the pins lead you back to their source, and I’m SO happy this particular one did because it led me to my new favorite fashion blog, Gal Meets Glam. The blogger, Julia, has the BEST sense of style. In addition, most of her finds are very affordable, so normal people like you and me can mock her outfits! She’s also a real person which makes it easier to read and relate to!
Now, before I show you, I must warn you. You aren’t going to know where to look. The shoes are killer, the purse is INCREDIBLE and the dress is perfectly chic. I’m just, in awe of everything that’s happening. Hence, this post could either be a “tuesday shoesday” or a “thursday purseday”. Take your pick

Um, incredible right? Those shoes are amazing!! But, for the sake of it being Thursday Purseday, let’s take a closer look at the bag.
Absolutely perfect. The sparkle makes it perfect for special occasions and the color makes it oh-so versatile. Swoon.
Now, I’ll ask, what do you think of this ensemble?
Aw, guys! Thanks so much for your sweet as pie words on my first wedding recap. I’m so happy ya’ll want to read more about my big day! And don’t worry, I’m sending all my submissions in this week so you’ll FINALLY see all the pictures soon!
Today’s purse is, literally, a DREAM. It’s blush, feathery and blingy, which encompass just about everything I’m obsessed with lately. Plus, it has such a vintage look and feel to it, which as ya’ll know, is the key to my heart. I swear, I was meant to be a flapper in the 20′s. Instead, I’m a product of the 80′s and now live in the 2000′s. BUT, that doesn’t mean I can’t still dress like I’m an extra in The Great Gatsby, right? I’m currently salivating over these amazingly 20′s inspired dresses.

Abbbbbbsolutely divine. I want that fourth one SO BADLY. I could totally justify it, right? I mean, it’s work appropriate? Maybe a casual Friday?
Obviously with a fabulous dress like that, you need a perfect purse to go with it. Enter the amazing blush, blingy beauty I was alluding to earlier. It hits me in all the right spots and would help create the most incredible Gatsby outfit ever. Oh, and it’s even more incredible next to a vintage inspired lace wedding gown. Oh and it’s only a mere $88. What a dream.
I’m going to post n’ run today because we have a daunting 10 hour car ride in front of us. As tedious as the journey is, the destination makes it all worth it. My good friend Heidi (who was a BM in my wedding) is tying the knot in South Bend!
I am so so so excited for her big day and after what happened with the whole bachelorette debacle, I am beyond ready to see her again!
Thanks to the glory of Pinterest (seriously, what would we do without it?), I found the most INCREDIBLE set of colorful clutches, all of which would be perfect on your big day. Why have an ivory clutch when you can have one that is coral, blue or yellow?
I mean, how adorable are these? I love the ruffles, the size and the colors! Plus, you can customize them more by adding a fancy pin or brooch!
Happy Thursday, ya’ll!
The internet is a funny place. It’s kind of like a TJ Maxx or Marshalls, really. You go in for no real purpose, not sure what you’re looking for, and come out with some of the most magnificent pieces. Today, as I was searching for place card ideas on Google, my eyes were met with one of the most unique looking bags. All white with handmade fringe & a top handle. I, of course, had to see more so I clicked through to find where this alluring bag came from. Instead of finding a seller or a store, I was led to an incredibly stunning seaside wedding by Mastin Studio, a Seattle based wedding photography studio.
Jaw droppingly beautiful, right? Wait until you see the bag!
I’m so intrigued by this clutch, I absolutely have to find where it was made. Oh, and the bride’s dress & the backdrop isn’t hard on the eyes either! For more of these incredible images, check out Mastin Studio!
Happy Thursday! Anyone else feel like this week FLEW by? Either way, I’m pumped for the weekend because the boo and I are going hiking! In other life news, I have an interview today and I’m a little nervous! I don’t know why I get SO nervous because I’m a good interview person, it’s just very nerve-wracking having to “sell yourself” ya know? I’ll let ya’ll know how it goes!
In purse & fashion news, my new favorite color combination is grey and pale pink. I have no idea why, but I’m COMPLETELY obsessed with how these colors compliment each other. The grey lends a very modern & sleek look while the pink softens it up.
[1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6]
Don’t you absolutely love this duo? If I had a do-over, I would have my bridesmaids wearing a tea length grey dress with ivory shoes and carrying a bouquet of pale pink peonies. Ah, sounds dreamy right? If these colors fit your palette, I’ve found you the perfect bridal clutches. I can’t decide between the grey or pink so why not show you both? And if you can’t chose either, have one for the ceremony & one for the reception?

I must find where that pink clutch is for sale, I absolutely NEED it in my wardrobe or I will die. Just die. (I say in my best Scarlet O’Hara accent).
Happy Thursday Purseday!
Although I’m absolutely obsessed with this entire outfit, let’s focus on that beautiful blue bag for a minute. I absolutely love the pop of blue against the black and white skirt & the bright watermelon top. This bag is the ultimate summer clutch, don’t you think?

Because what’s a better union than a string of pearls and a brightly colored purse?
I’m an emotional person, there’s no doubt about that. But circumstances in my life cause me to be extra emotional lately, circumstances which some of you know about. So when I saw this little photograph I’m about to share, I literally burst into tears.
There are countless ways you can thank your bridesmaids for being a part of your big day, and giving them a heartfelt gift is traditionally the path that’s chosen. But this gift, above, goes above and beyond just hanging them a bag. This bride wrote an incredibly heartfelt message to one of her girls and had it stitched into the lining. That, to me, is one of the sweetest gestures I’ve ever seen.
When you’re a bride, you can’t help but get a little narcissistic. This day, after all, is about YOU, your husband and your life. It’s your day. With how lightening fast the day goes by, you sometimes forget to thank the people who made it all happen, thank the people who stood beside you on the biggest day of your life, who held your dress while you peed or made sure you had a bite of chicken. The day passes and before you know it, you’re married and you never even got to say goodbye to the ones who believed in you and him from the very beginning. This small sentiment in this bridesmaid’s purse will show her, that no matter what happens, their friendship meant everything to the bride and in that moment in time, that significant, HUGE moment, their friendship was still one of the most important things to her. Even if they aren’t friends anymore or time has taken its toll on their relationship, she’ll always have that little message to look back on that proves that their friendship mattered, that it was real.
I’m probably reading way too much into this due to what’s going on today, but I can’t help it. Brides, please, take a few moments to tell the ones you love just how much you love them. Take a few minutes to hug your bridesmaids and convey to every single one of them how much their friendship means to you. Whether that’s a stitch in their handbag or during a tear-filled hug before you hop in your getaway vehicle, find time to make it happen. Friendships may not last forever, but in that moment, they are one of the most important things to hold onto and to recognize.
